The vision & mission 

The Department of Educational Psychology aims to become one of the leading scientific departments at local, regional, and international levels in the fields of teacher preparation across various scientific specializations, providing psychological and research consultations, and conducting psychological studies and research.

Therefore, the department aspires to:

• Achieve outstanding levels for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Strengthen purposeful relationships with educational departments to improve the working environment inside and outside the faculty.
• Open communication channels with counterpart departments within and outside the university to enrich the educational, research, psychological, and educational processes in the field of quality educational services.

The Department of Educational Psychology contributes to the psychological and professional formation of student teachers and prepares scientific cadres in the field of psychology, including teachers and researchers. It encourages scientific studies and fosters community engagement by studying its needs for various psychological services and working to respond to and provide these services to the general public and educational institutions in particular, offering consultations to both the public and private sectors.

The mission of the department is summarized as follows:

• Contributing to the preparation of future teachers at the primary, preparatory, and secondary education levels.
• Enhancing the educational qualification and professional growth of current teachers by updating their educational and scientific knowledge and concepts.
• Collaborating with relevant authorities in educational directorates to conduct theoretical and applied educational research aimed at developing evaluation systems and teaching and learning methods in pre-university educational institutions.
• Participating in the preparation, development, and implementation of training programs and courses inside and outside the faculty according to the needs of development in the field of education.
• Collaborating with educational directorates to solve educational problems that hinder students at any educational stage through scientific research and other means.
• Cooperating with educational institutions and research centers inside and outside Egypt to exchange experiences and knowledge and improve the education system.
• Participating in educational research and presenting papers at scientific conferences and seminars inside and outside Egypt to enrich the scientific research movement at Benha University in particular and Egyptian universities in general
