Community Service Deputy's speech:
The Community Service and Environmental Development Agency is distinguished by its pioneering role within the college, as it contributes to achieving one-third of the college's mission, which is linked to the university's mission: community service, developing the college's internal environment, and linking it to the external environment. Community service efforts and activities complement the activities of both the Student Affairs and Examinations Agency, on the one hand, and Graduate Studies and Research, on the other. This is achieved by assisting the agency in providing an appropriate educational environment for the provision of educational and research services at the college. It also assists in providing a safe environment through activities related to crisis and disaster management, security, safety, and occupational health, and following up on the necessary measures to protect the college, its buildings, and its staff from various types of risks.
On the other hand, the Community Service and Environmental Development Agency aims to facilitate communication between the college and the external community, including relevant institutions such as the Professional Academy for Teachers, the Education Directorate, and public and private schools, through cooperation protocols. This is done by seeking their opinions regarding developing the college's role in serving the community and raising the standard of graduates. The agency also aims to support graduates and provide them with the necessary services after graduation, including professional development courses, job opportunities, and employment forums. The agency also organizes numerous visits to various schools and villages in the governorate, according to their needs. These visits include cultural and educational seminars and workshops to develop the skills of school teachers, foster values of loyalty and belonging among students, and contribute to raising the cultural level of the people of various villages through participation in the presidential "Decent Life" initiative. Meanwhile, the Community Service and Environmental Development Agency, through the Center for Educational, Psychological, and Environmental Information and Services, seeks to increase the college's financial resources through courses offered to students, graduates, and community members, each according to their needs, as well as through the college's Psychological Counseling Unit. In addition, the agency's role extends to efforts to eradicate illiteracy among individuals within and outside the university community, in cooperation with the Adult Education Authority. This is achieved by raising students' awareness of the project's importance and encouraging them to participate in it. It also offers a series of training courses to develop teaching skills for adults, which has a significant impact on raising the standards of a significant segment of society.
