Under the auspices of:
• Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
• Prof. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Karam Abdel Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence.
The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence organized a seminar titled "Challenges of Social Media and Its Impact on Children" at Tant Al-Jazeera Preparatory School in Toukh.
Prof. Eman Mounir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the seminar was coordinated with:
• Prof. Yasser Mahmoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Kalyobiya,
• Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The seminar addressed the challenges faced by social media that affect children, such as exposure to inappropriate content, the spread of rumors and misinformation, how it can lead to digital addiction, and reduced real social interaction with family and friends. It also discussed issues like Cyberbullying and privacy violations, which can impact children's mental health and behavior.
