Qalyoubia Governor and BU President open the Hall of the Late Prof. Hossam Elattar

Major General Abdel Hamid El Hagan, Qalyoubia Governor and Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President opened the hall of the Late Prof. Hossam Elattar, the Founder and the 1st President of the University at the Campus in Obour.
I this regard, Qalyoubia Governor and BU President honored the family of Prof. Hossam Elattar and gave them the University Shield. They also honored Prof. Safwat Zahran, ex-president of the University; Prof. Ali Shams Eldin, ex-president of the University; and Prof. Elsayed Elkady, the former president of the University in the presence of Eng. Hany Dahy, ex-minister of transportations and the Engineers Syndicate in addition to a number of previous Vice-presidents and leaders for the University.

Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University "BU" Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs participated and represented BU, on behalf of the BU President, in the 6th Executive Office meeting of the University Alliance of the Silk Road "UASR".
The meeting was held during the final events of the Annual Forum of the UASR Presidents which hosted online by Xi'an Jiaotong University - China and Politecnico di Milano - Italy in the duration from November23 to 27, 2020.

New Research at BU on "Tannins Effect on Inhibiting COVID‐19"

Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs said that a research team from Benha University "BU" and other researchers from China, India, and Sudan published in the Journal of Food Biochemistry a study about Tannins inhibit SARS‐CoV‐2 through binding with catalytic dyad residues of 3CLpro: An in silico approach with 19 structural different hydrolysable tannins.
Dr. Ibrahim Khalifa, the lecturer at the food industry department, faculty of agriculture and the head of BU research team said that the corona epidemic resulting from infection with novel coronavirus "covid19", has raised the concerns of the World Health Organization as well as all over the world.
