"Domestic Violence and Its Repercussions on Society" ... An Awareness Seminar at Benha Faculty of Education

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, the University's Anti-Violence Against Women Unit organized an awareness seminar titled "Domestic Violence and Its Repercussions on Society" at the Faculty of Education. This initiative aligns with the unit's efforts to promote societal awareness and combat all forms of violence against women.
The event was attended by:
• Prof. Nevin Abdel-Sabour, Director of the Anti-Violence Unit
• Prof. Mona Zaazaa, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development
• Prof. Ibrahim El-Ghoneimy, Head of the Mental Health and Special Education Department
• Prof. Hind Yahya, Unit Coordinator at the Faculty of Education, who delivered the seminar's keynote address.
Prof. Nevin Abdel-Sabour highlighted that the seminar was coordinated with Prof. Rania Moataz, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development. She emphasized the seminar's focus on critical themes, including:
1. Forms and manifestations of domestic violence
2. Psychological and social impacts on individuals and society
3. Legal and legislative frameworks
4. The role of educational institutions in mitigating domestic violence
Prof. Abdel-Sabour further noted the seminar's emphasis on fostering awareness of women's rights within the university community and empowering women to confront violence and discrimination. She reiterated the unit's commitment to organizing programs that build a safe and supportive environment for women.
Students expressed strong appreciation for the Anti-Violence Unit's efforts, praising its role in promoting a culture of respect and equality. They stressed the importance of continuing such initiatives to strengthen awareness across the university community.

Benha University Organized Training Program for International Students on General and Personal Skills

 Under the auspices of :

  • Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
  • Prof. Jehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research,
  • Leadership Preparation Center in collaboration with the university’s International Students Sector

is organizing an intensive training program for international students focused on general and personal skills. This initiative aligns with the university’s policy to build student capabilities, with events continuing until Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The program is supervised by:

  • Prof. Ibrahim Rageh, General Supervisor of the Leadership Preparation Center
  • Prof. Ahmed Youssef, Executive Director of the International Students Sector at Benha University
  • Prof. Ahmed Nagib, Deputy General Supervisor of the Center

The 18-hour training, spanning three days, covers communication skills, time management, effective presentation, and other essential competencies. Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the program.

First-Day Speakers Included:

  • Prof. Tahany Rushdy, Head of the Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Benha University, and Certified Trainer at the National Center for Training and Leadership Development (Supreme Council of Universities)
  • Prof. Naglaa Fekry, Director of the Faculty Development Center and Professor of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture
  • Prof. Mostafa Nawarj, Business Development and Strategic Planning Consultant

President of Benha University Attends Closing Ceremony of the Third Delta and Greater Cairo Universities Sports Festival

Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, attended the closing ceremony of the Third Delta and Greater Cairo Universities Sports Festival. The event was organized by the General Administration for Youth Care and held at the University's sports complex in Kafr Saad.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof.Dr. Waled Talat, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy; Dr. Khaled Essa, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University; and Dr. Hany Zakaria, Supervisor of the Sports Facilities.
Prof Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy congratulated the winning students, praising their athletic performance and distinguished level of play. He also emphasized the University's commitment to supporting outstanding, talented, and gifted students in all fields.
For hos part ,El-Gizawy added that the festival aims to develop students'skills, particularly in sports, which positively contributes to shaping their character and preparing them physically and psychologically. Furthermore, participation in such festivals helps instill the values of fair competition and fosters communication and integration among university students.
On the other hand, Prof.Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady extended her greetings and appreciation to the organizers of the Third Delta and Greater Cairo Universities Sports Festival. She also congratulated all students who participated in the sporting activities, expressing her pride and honor in their achievements and athletic excellence, and encouraged them to continue excelling in both sports and academics.
At the end of the ceremony, the University President and his accompanying delegation honored the winning students with festival awards, expressing their delight at the university hosting the Third Delta and Greater Cairo Universities Sports Festival.
It is worth noting that the festival saw participation from six universities: Cairo, Helwan, Zagazig, Damietta, New Mansoura, and Benha.
