BU holds a Conference on "Law and Egypt's Water Security"

Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University "BU" Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs; Prof. Tamer Samir, BU Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs; and Prof. Reda Abdel Halim, the Dean of the Faculty of Law opened the 14th Annual Scientific Conference of the Faculty under the title of "Law and Egypt's Water Security towards a Comprehensive Vision to protect our Water Resources".
In his speech, El Gizawy conveyed a message of thanks and greetings from Prof. Gamal El Saeed, BU President to the Faculty of Law on the occasion of its celebration of the Silver Jubilee and the 25th anniversary of its establishment. He said also that the Conference is in line with the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation as well as Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development, as the state places at the forefront of its priorities the water issue, rationalization and raising the efficiency of its use through several axes.
In the same context, Samir expressed his happiness for the presence between a constellation of jurists and judicial bodies, congratulating the Faculty of Law on the occasion of its celebration of the Silver Jubilee.
Samir added that the water is one of the most important issues that concern the public opinion in Egypt, pointing out that the State is keen to find solutions and alternatives to face the water shortage through the establishment of seawater desalination plants and the development of irrigation methods as well as other matters related to water resources in Egypt.
